ALL ABOUT ME BAGS ARE DUE TUESDAY
What a great first week! Every child will be going home with a sheet that contains their usernames and passwords for computer programs that we utilize in the classroom. Please utilize these programs at home.
Below you will find a weekly summary for the upcoming week. I will do this every week.
The week of September 3, 2024
This week the students will become familiar with their 2nd grade fundation kit and materials. We will dive into the program next week.
This week we will introduce our literacy centers. The students will become familiar with the procedures and routines that are required of them.
In Literacy, we will read two books about a character named Rocket and learn his struggles with reading and writing and how he overcame these challenges. The students will explore character traits and narrative elements while sharing information about themselves and their lives so we can get to know each other.
In Math, we are going to launch our guided math routine while reviewing first grade math skills.
