The week of November 18, 2024

In fundations we will continue building multisyllabic words.  The kiddos will be introduced to suffixes and how when added to a root word, it changes the meaning.

In reading and writing we will continue our nonfiction unit.  The kiddos will continue to learn about the Wampanoag.   The kiddos are doing a great job with informational writing and extracting details to support their main idea with evidence-based terms.  We are working hard at infusing our voice into our writing by extending the text through making connections.  This is a self-paced unit and the kids will be moving at their speed.  They will explore the Wampanoag food, clothing and shelter.  When done, they will move into the Pilgrim’s food, clothing and shelter and compare the two.

In Math, we are launching our 2-digit addition unit with regrouping.

In Social Studies we will learn how citizens and the government work together.
